If you can’t decide on which variety to sow, you can choose a ‘gourmet blend’. This is the radish version from Kings Seeds. I’ve just sown the basil version too. The radishes are included in Kings’ ‘windowbox/patio vegetable’ collection.
Zucchinis have come on line so I’ll be using my zucchini recipes starting with zucchini fritters for breakfast, lunch or dinner (or possibly all three). I’ve enjoyed some delicious festive rhubarb cordial this week too. And made the remaining rhubarb into festive mini pies – an alternative to mince pies for dried-fruit detesters or for me as I haven’t made fruit mince this year. I have yet to make Christmas cake for which I’ll be using the Dark Ale Fruit Cake recipe.
FishHead magazine this month includes my recommendations for gifts for gardeners.
