Rachel Knight operates the kitchen garden from her home in Ohariu Valley, 25 minutes from Wellington. She runs ‘fresh food garden’, a half-day organic vegetable gardening course for beginners. Rachel grows organic produce, keeps Rhode Island red and Plymouth barred rock chickens and Dexter cows. Rachel has a certificate in certified organic production from Christchurch Polytechnic and completed a permaculture design course in 2004. She also has an honours degree in electrical engineering. Rachel moved to New Zealand from the UK with her husband in 1996.
