fiction for young and old

If you have a young soccer fanatic in the house who shows less enthusiasm for reading, he or she may enjoy Mal Peet’s ‘Keeper‘. I’ve now devoured Tamar by the same author. Resistance in the occupied Netherlands.

Also for younger readers, Jasper Jones: A Novel is a cross between Kate de Goldi’s delicious The 10PM Question and the classic To Kill a Mockingbird – best to see the film version starring Gregory Peck if you’ve been put off it by being made to read it at school.

I enjoyed The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and Miss Lily’s Fabulous Pink Feather Boa.
